At Teknoyaman Machine, Optics, Chemical Industry and Trade Ltd. Co. (“Teknoyaman” or the “Company”), we care about the protection of your personal data. This notice is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of the Obligation to Inform, to explain how we process personal data collected through the teknoyaman.com.tr website and our communication channels.

2. Personal data we process
- Identity: first name and surname.
- Contact: email address; optionally, telephone number.
- Customer transaction: your company or organisation, the subject and content of your message, the part number or NSN of the product you are interested in, and correspondence about your request.
- Transaction security: the IP address from which the form was sent, browser (user agent) information, and the date and time of submission.
- Cookie data: your language and cookie preferences; statistical data on the use of the website only if you consent.
Please do not include special categories of personal data (health, religion, criminal records, etc.) in your message; such data is not needed to answer your request.
3. Purposes of processing
- receiving, assessing and answering information, product and quotation requests sent via the contact form, email or telephone;
- preparing quotations and conducting pre-contractual discussions related to your request;
- keeping the website and the form secure and preventing unwanted and automated submissions;
- complying with our legal obligations and providing information to authorities where required by law;
- only if you consent, measuring and improving how the website is used.
4. Method of collection and legal grounds
Your personal data is collected when you send it to us through the contact form on our website, by email or by telephone, and partly by automated means through cookies while you use the website. It is processed on the following legal grounds under Article 5 KVKK:
- processing is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (Art. 5(2)(c)) — your product and quotation requests;
- processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation of the controller (Art. 5(2)(ç));
- processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the controller, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (Art. 5(2)(f)) — answering general enquiries, website and form security, showing our location on the contact page with Google Maps;
- your explicit consent (Art. 5(1)) — analytics cookies.
You do not need to give consent to use the contact form; the checkbox on the form only confirms that you have read this notice.
5. Transfers of personal data
Within the limits of the purposes above and in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 KVKK, your personal data may be transferred to:
- the providers of our hosting (server) and email services, to the extent necessary to provide those services;
- our business partners and suppliers, where necessary to fulfil your request;
- competent public authorities, where required by law.
If you consent, analytics data is processed by Google LLC (Google Analytics) on servers outside Türkiye; this transfer is based on your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time. The Google Maps content on the contact page is loaded when the page opens; your IP address and browser information are then processed by Google on servers outside Türkiye.
6. Retention
Your personal data is kept for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it is processed and as required by applicable law. Contact form records are kept for no longer than two years after your request has been concluded; correspondence that becomes part of a business relationship is kept for ten years in accordance with the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102. When the period ends, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Under Article 11 KVKK, you have the right to apply to the data controller to:
- learn whether your personal data is being processed;
- request information about the processing;
- learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose;
- know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom your data is transferred;
- request the rectification of incomplete or inaccurate data;
- request the erasure or destruction of your data under the conditions of Article 7 KVKK;
- request that third parties to whom your data has been transferred be notified of such rectification, erasure or destruction;
- object to a result against you arising from the analysis of your data exclusively by automated systems;
- claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.
8. How to apply
In line with the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures for Applications to the Data Controller, you may send your request in writing to the address above, together with information that identifies you, or send it to info@teknoyaman.com.tr using a secure electronic signature, a mobile signature or the email address you have previously notified to us and that is registered in our systems. Your request will be concluded free of charge within thirty days at the latest, depending on its nature; if the process involves an additional cost, a fee may be charged in line with the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board.
If your request is rejected, you find the response insufficient or it is not answered in time, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board under Article 14 KVKK.
